PFA Strengthens International Network in New York

In pursuit of efforts to raise the global competitiveness of Philippine franchising by benchmarking with global best practices, seek expansion opportunities for Philippine franchise brands and promote the Philippines as an investment destination for American and other international franchise brands, the Philippine Franchise Association (PFA) participated in the International Franchise Expo (IFE) held recently in The Javits Center, New York City. Organized by the International Franchise Association (IFA), IFE is the US franchise industry’s most comprehensive and premier event showcasing over 450 franchise opportunities. The said event also features over 70 seminars and in-depth symposia discussing the latest trends in global franchising. Photo shows Mr. Franklin Go, PFA Chairman; Mr. Josh Merin, IFA Director of International Affairs; Mr. Samie Lim, PFA Chairman Emeritus; Ms. Theresa de Vega, Consul General, Philippine Consulate in New York; Mr. Scott Lehr, IFA Senior Vice President; and Mr. Nick Bautista, Commercial Attache, Philippine Consulate in New York. PFA continuously seeks opportunities to strengthen its international linkages with the intention of helping Philippine franchises expand in overseas markets as well as help promote the viability of the Philippines as an investment destination. It should be noted that PFA is currently the Secretariat of the Asia Pacific Franchise Confederation and a member of the Working Committee of the World Franchise Council (WFC) tasked to create programs that will advance the role of franchising in economic development globally.
