7-Eleven accelerates expansion growth anew via strategic mall-network partnerships

Via its strategic mall-network partnerships, world-leading C-store chain giant 7-Eleven scored yet another successful expansion milestone, this time with the landmark opening of its corporate-run outlet in Robinsons Novaliches Mall. Operating as the first C-store under Robinsons Land Corp., the new outlet is seen to significantly boost 7-Eleven’s market base and share, according to its exclusive local licensor, Philippine Seven Corp. (PSC).

Located at the Level 1 Expansion Building of Robinson’s Novaliches, the newly opened store is expected to cater to the mall’s 24/7 locator like the business-process outsourcing market and other commercial tenants, as well as shoppers. Its strategic location also captures the passengers of major transport terminals beside the mall, like the Metro Manila Development Authority bus station, the P2P (point-to-point) Lingkod Pinoy Bus and UV Express, among others.

Since embarking on a mall-based expansion campaign, Francis Medina, PSC Business Development unit head, said the move further strengthened PSC’s relationship among prominent project developers in the country, while also establishing 7-Eleven’s unique business flexibility edge over competitors.

“The Robinsons Novaliches store opening further drove the positive momentum in favor of PSC and 7-Eleven, both of which are now being recognized and valued as diversified industry locators in various markets and on competitive landscape,” Medina noted.

The recent store opening added to 7-Eleven’s ever-growing nationwide operations, which now counts to 2,176 outlets (1,182 franchise-owned and 995 corporate-run).

In addition to opening more outlets in other Robinsons Land projects, 7-Eleven is also tapping mall developers like Ayala Land and Megaworld as it seizes for more suitable growth opportunities in line with its ongoing expansion campaign.
