‘TIS the season to be jolly for the townsfolk of Mexico Bayan, Pampanga as Jollibee opened its 993rd store, bringing a bucketful of everyone’s favorite crispylicious, juicylicious Chickenjoy and other langhap-sarap meals.
Arline Adeva, Jollibee Brand Communications and PR director, said the opening is part of the brand’s “Road to 1,000” campaign – Jollibee’s countdown to its 1,000th store milestone in 2017.
She added the newly-opened store has a “modern tropical” accent which complements the town’s surrounding nature. It can accommodate up to 237 seated customers. It also has a drive thru service and Jollibee Kids Party which serves as a party venue. The store is open 24 hours.
Adeva said the site is very strategic as the brand’s network development team evaluated the movement of people and vehicles that pass through and drive along the area. “Before we open a branch, we check if the brand has the potential to grow (in the area),” she added.
At the opening day, Adeva said, the first 100 customers received the exclusive commemorative tumblers designed by TeamManila Graphic Design Studio.
“Jollibee and friends were also present, while the 993rd customer received P1,000 worth of Jollibee gift certificate, Chickenjoy bucket meal, etc.,” she said.
Adeva noted an increased demand for the brand’s products among locals, who look forward to a Jollibee store opening in their area. “It means a lot to them. Although their place is not that progressive, they feel that their market is significant,” she said.
She also said most of the Jollibee employees reside within the area. “It is a way of giving back to them because our establishment is erected within their community,” she added.
According to Adeva, Jollibee offers random acts of kindness at every milestone store. “At the Laput Elementary School, pupils received toys and books as part of the brand’s surprise ‘Maaga ang Pasko’,” she said.
Kicked-off in Davao, where Jollibee opened its 991st store, the brand also launched its 992nd store located in Guagua, Pampanga. The opening also marks Jollibee’s 39th store in the whole of Pampanga and its 171st in North Luzon.
