3 more Filipinos join ranks of international certified franchise
executives
![]() Three more Filipinos joined the elite roster of the prestigious Certified Franchise Executives (CFE), bringing to 31 the total Filipino CFE graduates since the program was introduced in the Philippines in 2001. Ms. Rebecca Bucad, President-K2 Drug; Mr. Francis Medina, Business Development Manager-Philippine Seven Corporation; and, Mr. Joselito Samson, Operations Consultant-Francorp Philippines joined this year’s pool of CFE graduates worldwide. A professional development program for franchise executives, the CFE Program is a mini-MBA in Franchise Management run by the Institute of Certified Franchise Executives (ICFE) under the US-based International Franchise Association (IFA). Outside the US, the Philippine Franchise Association (PFA) was the first institution accredited by the ICFE to offer some of the courses necessary to earn credits points to complete the program. At present, more than 50 Filipinos are enrolled in the program. Established in the US in 1991, the CFE designation has become a distinction of professional leadership and accomplishment in the franchising field. Over 1,400 franchise executives from around the world are currently participating in the CFE program, providing benefits such as specialized knowledge, industry recognition, peer-level networking and professional standing.
