The implementation of Section 1 of MC No. 20-44, Series of 2020, on the “Recategorization of Some Business Establishments or Activities under Category IV to Category III,” shall commence on September 1, 2020 in the National Capital Region and the Provinces of Bulacan, Cavite, Laguna and Rizal.
* Commencement of operations of internet cafés in the National Capital Region shall be left to the discretion of the Metro Manila mayors.
The following business establishments* and activities* are allowed to reopen:
a. Testing, tutorial, and review centers;
b. Gyms, fitness centers, and sports facilities;
c. Internet cafes;
d. Dermatological clinics offering aesthetic procedures;
e. Other personal care services;
f. Pet grooming services; and
g. Drive-in cinemas.
(*Subject to the mandatory minimum public health standards and protocols provided under Annex “B” of MC No. 20-44, and respective business establishment and activity/s protocols.)
Specific guidelines for the operations of gyms, fitness centers, sports facilities, and internet cafes shall also be issued per local government, as agreed by Metro Manila Mayors, for their reopening including the following:
* Additional health protocols;
* Operational capacity;
* Operating hours
Otherwise, the business enterprises and activities shall follow the minimum public health standards and protocols and applicable operational capacity provided under MC No. 20-44.
Operating hours of the establishments shall be consistent with the corresponding localized curfew hours of the local government units.
