Bo’s Coffee will be taking the Philippine’s premiere homegrown specialty brand to the international market this year, its founder Steve Benitez said in a recent interview.

Benitez said they would open a store in Qatar, its first overseas store.

With about 80 branches nationwide, mostly in Visayas and Mindanao, Benitez plans to establish 200 branches in the next four years.

Bo’s Coffee, in its 21st year in the market, continues to bring Philippine coffee from different region in the spotlight.

As the first Philippine homegrown coffee, Bo’s Coffee prides itself with most of its coffee beans from Sagada and Benguet in North, Mt. Katinglad in Bukidnon, Mt. Apo in Davao and Mt. Matutom in South Cotabato.

Bo’s Coffee serves different community ranging from students to young professionals with local flavors.

“I believe that Bo’s Coffee is a community-gathering place where people converge together,” Benitez added.

Bo’s Coffee had tapped social enterprise and some restaurant for partnership.

Some furniture inside the shop are procured from different tribes.

Benitez said that they are monitoring these tribes for community development.

He reveals that they are in collaboration with different social enterprise and supports tea farms and farmers.

With the short supply of coffee beans, however, Benitez dreams that coffee production in the Philippines will be able to supply their demands.

However, with the growing economy, Benitez hopes that coffee business will still be a booming industry years from now.

Bo’s Coffee has just launched its newly-opened branch last Thursday at the North Drive Cebu nearing Chon Hua Hospital at the Mandaue North Reclamation Area.
