The required  documents may be  emailed to the  membership officer of  the PFA Secretariat or  delivered to the PFA  office

ASSESSMENT

All applications for PFA membership will be reviewed by the membership committee which shall make appropriate recommendations to the Board of Directors Trustees which will then decide on the application for membership.

What are the types of PFA members?

A. Regular members

  • Any individual, partnership or corporation engaged in franchising as a  franchisor or as a master franchisee of a foreign franchise doing business in  the Philippines whose application has been approved by the Board of Trustees  upon the recommendation of the Membership Committee and provided the  following requirements are met

a. has satisfactory financial condition subject to such criteria as may be  established from time to time by the Board of Trustees;


b. has franchising relations and conducts business in a manner that reflects  favorably on franchising; and

c. complies with the necessary Philippine laws applicable to its business in the  Philippines.

B. Allied members

  • Any entity or corporation engaged in the business of supplying  services, equipment, supplies and/or materials to the franchise  industry, or individuals, organizations or institutions who are  engaged in any endeavor or field of activity related to  franchising, whose applications for allied membership have  been approved by the Board of Trustees upon recommendation  of the Membership Committee.

What is a member of good standing?

A member in good standing is one who has no  outstanding annual membership dues or other financial  obligations to the association and complies with the  Association's Code of Ethics, Fair Franchising Standards,  and other rules and regulations that the Association  may  issue from time to time

Duties and Responsibilities of Members

  1. To obey and comply with the By-Laws, rules and regulations that may be  promulgated by the Association from time to time

  2. Attend all meetings that may be called by the Board of Trustees;

  3. To pay annual membership dues and other assessments of the Association;  and,

  4. To abide  by the Code of Ethics as promulgated by the Association  and as amended  from time to time.
